Education & Skills

Ready for a change but not sure where to start?

At Sally Gardens, we offer a wide range of courses for all ages and abilities, making it easy to take that first step.

Gain life-changing skills

Learning a new skill can make a world of difference to your wellbeing. It can help you build stronger connections, discover new interests, and even boost your chances of getting that dream job. And at Sally Gardens, you don’t need to do it alone, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Courses we offer

Building your future (BYF)

Employability support
Our Building Your Future (BYF) project has been a major success over the past six years, improving employment prospects for unemployed job seekers and economically inactive individuals. The programme focuses on helping participants:

  • Access the labour market
  • Prepare for employment
  • Secure job opportunities
  • Sustain long-term work

Youth services

Targeted support for young people
Our programme focuses on young people who are at risk or socially excluded. We provide increased access to youth services aligned to Priorities for Youth, the youth work curriculum, and the post-primary age group through extended opening hours.

We support each young person individually, encouraging continued education, promoting other education/training options, or guiding them into employment.

Weekly Art Class

Our weekly Monday morning art class welcomes 15–20 participants each week.

People enjoy catching up with friends while creating beautiful pieces of art. This facilitated class gives participants the chance to improve their artistic skills and learn new ones.

Essential skills training

Through our collaboration with Belfast Met, we continue to offer Essential Skills classes in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.

This partnership is highly effective, with many learners achieving EL3, Level 1 and Level 2 in their chosen subject.

Curriculum Development

Accredited and non-accredited programmes

  • Improved opportunities
